Fall In 2003 - This years Fall In, 11/24-11/16, was held just outside of Baltimore, MD.
About a 1 1/2 hour drive south for me. I made it down there on Friday and Saturday.
I must admit I prefer the Lancaster location because 1. it is about 20 minutes closer
for me, 2. there are no tolls to pay, 3. everything is in walking distance. This year you had
to take a shuttle over to the hotel. The event was very well organized and I saw the
shuttle running often but at Lancaster I can just simply walk back and forth between all
the buildings. The main gamming hall was well within walking distance of the dealer
hall so that was nice. This year you probably heard there was a HUGE WWII game
put on, Operation Market Garden. The tables from that game were really awesome.
Actually I have so many photos from that game that they will be on there own page
that I will publish later this week. I got some great deals. Picked up the new GW LOTR
Return of the King set for only $32.00, and at the flea market the Fellowship set for
only $20.00.  I am building GW LOTR armies to play with my daughter and nephews.
I spent most of my time at the flea market and dealer hall.Below are my photos to
give you some "flavor" of what you missed. (Click on thumbnail to view larger photo.)
On the left are 2 shots of the flea market setting up. On right, castle siege.

Some more shots of the castle siege, I beleive this was 25mm.

Some very nice atmosphere here with the tents of the attackers set up for their comfort.

Here we see some more ships landing with reinforcements.

This was a great set of tables. Wargods of Aegyptus in the last photo

On the right are some of the GW LOTR range. Goblins & Troll entering Balin's tomb.

Here we see a ships coming into a harbor. Great work on the ships!

On the right is a sci-fi table, it actually had pulsating neon lights! Very spacey.

On the left are some 54mm Mexican American War soldiers. Next up we have a

a table featuring the Boer War. This was 25mm scale I believe.

The right 3 photos are some nicely painted English Civil War figures.

The next 11 photos are all of building done by the same gentleman. Can't remember
who now, but there were all excellent. I believe they were 25mm scale.

The next 18 photos are all 54mm from the St. Petersburg collection.

Check out these archers in the tree, very Robin Hood.

The Knights at tournament was really gorgeous. Maybe my favorite.

Here are some 1/72 scale buldings and some 54mm painted plastic.

Next we have some 54mm metal Conte figures, including George Custer on horse.

These are painted figures by Pictors Studios, including Perry Indians on the left there.

On the left are some Perry Samuri. On the right a really nice 25mm Gladiator arena.
The arena was not by Pictor's Studio. I can't recall whose it was though.

Next we have Crocodile Games Olympus and Egyptian figures. 25mm.

On the left is a nice 25mm village. The right Old Glory Vampire wars.

More Old Glory. I don't know what range these Viking type figures were but I liked.

Next 6 photos are Dixon 25mm miniatures.. And then 2 GW LOTR photos.

3 photos on right were for a 25mm World War I  Trench warfare battle. Very nice.

Next we have some Warhammer 40K and Warhammer Fantasy tables.

I really liked this Warhammer Fantasy village with the Castle front.

Some GW Ork assault ships. Very Orkish looking don't you think?

Last photo is the troll I picked up at the flea market for ny LOTR army.
I hoped you enjoyed this "small" photo tour. See ya at Cold Wars 2004!!
